Jason Maxlow was raised in the sleepy hills community of Glen Forrest and is influenced by the local environment and
historical narratives. As a graduate of UWA - B.A. Archaeology and
Fine Art, and C.I.T. Advanced Diploma Fine Art/Sculpture, Jason utilises
locally sourced materials such as laterite and dolerite stone and Jarrah
in his sculptural works.

Often combining these materials with steel, he creates natural forms such as seahorses, starfish and eggs, and explores the tantalising realms of geometry.
