Craig McKeough

Craig is a visual artist who is inspired by nature and the unique Hills environment. He specialises in botanical contact printing on paper using eucalyptus leaves and other material, and also works in charcoal, pastels, linocut printmaking and acrylic. His focus is always on creating visually exciting abstract images which hint at objects, landscapes and natural features, and evoke a sense of place rather than a precise representation. He uses experimental and gestural mark-making, often with a limited palette, to produce layered images which are spontaneous, intuitive, and open to interpretation.
