Ellis is a practising theatre maker and teacher, musician and visual artist. His large oil paintings have a musicality and story element which draw in the viewer to give them a rich, imaginative experience. His inspiration comes from the movement of the natural world around us - the movement of water, sky, trees and human creatures.
