Jennie Merritt
The Glass Flower Bar
Glass, Jewellery
Jennie Merritt is a Perth based lampwork glass artist and founder of The Glass Flower Bar. Since 2009, she has been creating bold botanical sculptures, statement jewellery, and everlasting glass flowers that celebrate individuality, creativity, and self-expression. Working from her studio in Whiteman Park, Western Australia, Jennie combines flameworked glass with wire and industrial materials to create pieces that are both delicate and dramatic. Her aesthetic is deeply inspired by nature, colour, and the beauty of standing out.
Known for her whimsical style and innovative techniques, she developed a signature approach of melting glass directly onto wire to create sculptural floral forms unlike anything else in the Australian glass scene. Jennie’s work ranges from vibrant floral arrangements and wearable art to bespoke Remembrance Glass collections, where cremation ashes are carefully encased within glass to create deeply personal keepsakes.
This meaningful aspect of her practice brings comfort, connection, and lasting beauty to families honouring loved ones. At the heart of Jennie’s work is a love of creating for people who embrace the quirky things in life - those who value craftsmanship, originality, and pieces that tell a story. Her glass art is designed to spark joy, invite conversation, and become treasured for years to come.
