Lee Potter Artist
Sculpture
Lee Potter is a self-taught steel artist and has been sculpting in metal for over 30 years. He works from his home studio in the historic precinct of Woodbridge, WA. His work encompasses sculpture, furniture and copper “one-off” water features. Lee has exhibited work in major WA exhibitions with organisations including the AIDS Council and Cancer Council, the Salac Minc Society, the Fremantle Arts Centre and the Art Gallery of WA.
He has produced major commissions for Christchurch Preparatory School, Mundaring Arts Centre, Midland Enterprise Centre, Margaret’s Beach Resort and the University of Western Australia. Purchasers of his work include the Department of Conservation and Land Management, the Minister for the Arts, the City of Swan and Perth Ladies College. He is known for connecting geometric shape and organic forms to create harmony or juxtaposition between the true and untrue: realist and idealist: natural and artificial.
He is a passionate conservationist and particularly enjoys portraying his personal feelings through message, in his works.
