Leona Gu

Leona Gu is originally from China and has loved art since she was a child. She is a passionate and dedicated artist. She has 15 years of experience and knowledge in various mediums, such as paintings and sculptures, and over 30 years of knowledge in Chinese art.

For the past 15 years, she has been learning oil painting with a focus on landscapes, from a few different professional artists. She takes inspiration from nature and the world around her when she is painting landscapes. She has completed a Diploma of Visual Arts and is studying an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts in TAFE.

Leona has made significant achievements in the field of art. Her artwork has been exhibited in several galleries, her studio “Eastern meets Western Art Studio” and featuring in the Mundaring Hills Studio Open, and widely known in Western Australia and China. Her oil paintings especially landscapes and roses, Chinese paintings and sculpture are highly loved and collected by many art enthusiasts. Her mission is to be a lifelong learner and to experiment and grow as a professional artist, combining Eastern with Western art practices, to create a cohesive foreign of the two cultures.
