Silvana is a glass artist whose work explores movement, memory and the tension between fragility and strength. Working primarily with kiln formed glass, she is drawn to forms shaped through heat and gravity, allowing the material to retain traces of its transformation through the firing process. Inspired by the natural environment and human experience, her practice balances intention with unpredictability, embracing the fluid qualities of glass as it shifts and settles in the kiln. Through vessels and sculptural forms, she creates works that invite reflection on connection, transformation and what is revealed or concealed beneath the surface. Visitors to the studio can see both finished works and aspects of the making process.
