About

Mundaring Hills Open Studios (MHOS) would like to give you this opportunity to be involved in this year’s Art in the Hills Event. Every year MHOS event has grown. We now have over 80 artists and more than 4000 people who come to the hills to visit their studios.

Visiting the studios that participate in the Mundaring Hills event is a unique experience and an unusual opportunity to sample the lives of our local artists. It gives people access to the artist’s work which comes in an incredible range of medium – from glass and ceramics to oil paint, water colours, textiles, wood, recycled metals and much more.

The artists too range across the spectrum – from professionals with international acclaim to those who work part time or as a hobby – and all of them want to share their artistic environment.

The aim of this event is to encourage and support these artists in the Mundaring Hills region, and to foster public interest. Last year 81 artists were involved across 30 studios and 4 venues. To promote this amazing event a full colour 56 page brochure is produced every year, together with posters and flyers that get distributed across Perth Metro and Hills regions and further afield. The book is designed in a square format. We estimate to print 17,000 copies this year. These will be distributed from 1 August 2024.

What you get as a Sponsor

If you choose to become a sponsor you will get:


Brochure

  • The advert in our brochure

  • If you provide accommodation or meals, you will have the opportunity to be included in a list on a separate page in the brochure.  This is free if you have an ad in the brochure.  Alternatively, you can just be on this listing for a small fee of $75.  Click here if you only require Food/accommodation listing

  • If your business is located in the hills, an indicator on the map to mark your location 

 

Website​

  • Your business will be listed as a sponsor on our website. 

  • On the home page your logo will be on a rolling banner at the bottom of the page

  • Any events you may have will be included in our Blog

  • There will also be a page called “What’s On”.  This will include (if applicable):

    • Your logo with a link to your website

    • Local things to do eg trails, tastings etc. 

    • Locations that have art, either galleries or venues.

 

Social Media

  • Promotion on our instagram and facebook pages. This includes:

    • 10 social placements using one approved advert creative (reposted/reshared at strategic times across Facebook + Instagram)

    • Sponsor posts run August–October, with higher frequency in the two weeks leading into the event and during event week.
      Included in each post (where applicable):

      • Business tagged

      • Link in bio mention

      • Clear call-to-action (e.g., book/visit / enquire)

      • Location mention

  • Optional Upgrades
    We can also include add-ons to your social media as follows for an additional cost (content supplied by sponsor)​

    • Reel/video feature.  One reel (or short-form video) posted on Instagram & Facebook, using your supplied content. Includes caption, tags, and CTA tailored for engagement.

    • Sponsor spotlight interview.  We’ll work with you (via email or phone) to craft a short, authentic interview-style post that dives into your story, values, and offerings. Includes one custom graphic or photo and copywriting.

    • Giveaway/competition. Promote your business with a strategic giveaway that drives followers and engagement. Includes post graphic, caption, T&Cs guidance, and promotion in stories.

    • Event-week daily stories.  Daily Instagram & Facebook stories featuring your business during MHOS event week (up to 7 days). Great for cafes, bars, and spots visitors can swing by on their trail. 

 

Other Benefits​

What we ask of our Sponsors

The team at MHOS express appreciation for the support from our sponsors.

We request the sponsor’s help in promoting this annual event by:

  • Offer promotional incentives to boost visitors.

We have an experienced graphic designer involved who also designs the brochure and many of the adverts, so if you do not have the means to create your own advert we can offer this service.

Invoice and Payment

Payment is required on submission of application.  This can be done via the application form link. If you prefer an invoice prior to payment, please contact Silvana Ferrario at mhos@outlook.com.au or on 0418 908 763.

Artwork costs will be invoiced separately by Kore Design.

 

Artwork Specifications

All artwork must be supplied as a high resolution Acrobat PDF with fonts outlined or embedded and all images and colours converted to CMYK. If we are supplying artwork for you all graphics, logo, copy and images are to be supplied and you will receive a proof for approval.
