We had a fabulous night at Mahogany Inn and Distillery last week for the MHOS brochure launch. Jim the proprietor had set aside a large room and put on a spread of food.
Over 75 artists, sponsors and friends braved the cold wet night to attend the event. It was a great success. A highlight of this event was Mundaring Shire President Paige McNeil announcing support for the event by way of a $70,000 grant over the next three years. A very very welcome contribution. But it doesn't take away from the amazing support MHOS receives from our community of local businesses. Andrea Southam from Bendigo Bank also spoke as sponsor for the evening.
Everyone enjoyed being able to speak to the artists and take a copy of the new brochure for the 2024 MHOS event. The MHOS brochure is becoming a collectable record of artists in the Mundaring Hills. The 2024 publication showcases work by 75 artists who will be showing their works in 37 studios located across the breadth of the Shire of Mundaring. Several artists are offering demonstrations and workshops during the 9 days of Open Studios from Saturday 19 October to Sunday 29 October. These brochures are now being distributed around the city and available at Jacksons, Mundaring Tourist Board, Mundaring Art Centre and several other locations.
