Carolyn works with metals to create sculptures that reflect the natural world. She uses a plasma cutting tool to draw images, often repurposing items like farming and gardening tools. Another way she brings interest to her sculptures is to metalsmith soft light weight metals into organic shapes inspired by sailing and exploring the beautiful ocean and her love of camping and travelling.

Carolyn started life drawing to hone her skills to better represent her sculptures from thoughts to a concept. She soon became obsessed with this practise and started to hold her own life drawing sessions in her Midvale studio.
