I create expressive abstract drawings and paintings that closely represent my memories and feelings of something I have seen, smelt, or witnessed in the natural environment.

Influenced by nature Gayle interprets the sound of the wind, leaves falling, birdsong in the bush, suspended in a moment before its fully formed.

Her work incorporates Natural Mark Making using a variety of homemade brushes and scrapers and her mediums range from ink, pastels, acrylics to oils, cold wax and coloured pigments.
